Posted 22 Nov 2022
Name: Elena Sauter
Studies/Training: I am currently starting a dual study program in marketing with a focus on communication and PR.
Work experience: During my school years, I worked at Erwin Hymer Center Bad Waldsee GmbH, where I was able to gain a lot of practical customer experience. This year, I finally completed my high school diploma very successfully and have now been working at HBI since October.
What surprises us most about your resume? I have always wanted to work in the social sector, which is why I have completed several internships in this field. But now I have chosen a completely different path – the PR and marketing industry because I particularly enjoy writing texts and researching new topics.
What do you expect in your first months at HBI? I hope to learn a lot about PR and marketing work. But the range of diverse clients at HBI will also make everyday life exciting. Basically, I’m looking forward to gaining as many impressions and new points of contact as possible so that I can build up and expand my skills in the field of communication.
How do you imagine PR work will be? I believe that there will be new challenges and activities every day, which are important for my personal development in order to progress and grow in my studies in the best possible way. But also to further my professional skills, the hard skills.
Preferred Munich activity? I’ve only been living in Munich since mid-September and I don’t know my way around very well yet, but I still imagine it would be very nice to sit together with my friends in the English Garden in the summer.
What fascinates you most about the technology industry? The fact that it is one of the few, if not the only industry that has a chance to change the whole world for the better in a sustainable way, but also to constantly develop it.
Are you from Munich? Are you a local or a Zuagroasta? 😉 I am originally from Baden-Württemberg, so I am ‘zuagroast’. 😊
Most popular social media platform? My favorite social media platform is definitely Instagram because it’s very diverse, and you can let your creativity run wild on it.
Do you prefer being in the city or in the country? I grew up in a village, so I would definitely choose that. However, it is very exciting to live in a big city while studying.
What did you want to be when you were a child? I always wrote a lot of short stories as a child and wanted to become an author because of that. My biggest wish has always been to publish my own novel.
How do you find out about news – print or online? Definitely online, but I also like to exchange news through friends to get different points of view.
