Name: Izolda Goderidze
In what field did you do your studies/training?
I completed my bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University. Currently, I am in two master’s programs, one in sociology at LMU and one in political science at the University of Vienna.
Work experience: During my first bachelor studies in Georgia, I had the opportunity to work in the field of public relations for the first time and to gain first experiences as a PR consultant. I was then able to deepen the experience I had gained in Germany, where I worked as a PR assistant in a PR agency.
What surprises us most about your resume?
My extensive international experience in PR and my academic achievements and ambitions.
What do you expect in your first few months at HBI?
I expect a good working atmosphere, a strong team that supports each other and of course many interesting projects. Most of all, I’m looking forward to learning new PR strategies and expanding my repertoire of skills.
How do you imagine PR work to be?
Varied, challenging and as a great way to positively influence external perceptions.
Favorite Munich activity?
My favorite Munich activities are multifaceted. On the one hand, it includes martial sports such as Brazil Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing. On the other hand, I like to dance Salsa and Bachata at the Pinakotheken or in the Hofgarten. Otherwise, I like to spend my free time with friends in the English Garden or at the Isar.
What particularly fascinates you about the technology industry?
I’m fascinated by new innovations and constant developments. Especially digitalization in the healthcare sector, which is creating new treatment options.
Are you from Minga? Are you a local or a Zuagroasta?
I’m from Georgia and I’ve been living in Munich for 4 years, since then I’ve been trying to learn Bavarian but unfortunately without success so far.
Most popular social media platform?
My most popular social media platform is Instagram. I find it’s a good platform to get ideas, tips, inspiration and share pictures with friends and family members.
Do you prefer being in the city or in the country?
I am a city person, nevertheless I love to spend my free time in the countryside.
What did you want to be when you were a child?
When I was a child, I wanted to be a journalist because it was a good way to meet interesting people and to be always traveling.
How do you inform yourself about news – print or online?
I get most of my information online and sometimes enjoy reading the print newspapers next to my Sunday coffee.
